WILLINGHAM, Calder (Barnard Jr)

(1922-1995)

   US novelist and scriptwriter whose flamboyant Southern regionalism was most fully expressed in Eternal Fire (1963). His sf novel, The Building of Venus Four (1977), a SEX-loaded spoof SPACE OPERA, failsto convey much sense of his best work. An original filmscript for Stephen SPIELBERG had been completed just before his death.
