- THOMPSON, E(dward) P(almer)
(1924-1993)
UK historian and writer, whose highly articulate Marxist interpretation of the last centuries of UK history is best expressed in The Making of the English Working Class (1963). (1988), a laboured SATIRE of Earthcustoms seen through the eyes of the poet Oi Pas, who comes from another planet.
