   UK writer, married to Harold NICOLSON and renowned for her creation of the garden at Sissinghurst, Kent, UK. A member of the Bloomsbury Group and a model for the title character of Virginia WOOLF'sOrlando (1928), she was best known for non-genre novels like The Edwardians (1930). In Grand Canyon (1942) a victorious Germany, having won WWII, threatens the world (HITLER WINS).
