OBUKHOVA, Lydia: (1924-)

Russian writer who began publishing work of interest as early as 1945, and whose books gained some popularity in her native land. Lilit (trans Mirra Ginsburg as Daughter of Night 1974 US) tells the story of Adam's first wife, Lilith, who meets an ALIEN assessing Earth for colonization. He falls in love with her, presents her with the gift of fire, and saves the planet from his own people.
