MacAULAY, David (Alexander)
- MacAULAY, David (Alexander)
(1946-)
US writer, much of whose work, beginning with Cathedral: The Story of its Construction (1973), has concentrated on architectural subjects, a focus reflected in Unbuilding (1980 chap), which depicts in pictures and text the hypothetical demolition of the Empire State Building. Of more specific sf interest are Motel of the Mysteries (graph1979 UK), a comic FABULATION whose surreal twists cleverly evoke displaced worlds, and Baaa (1985 chap), a fantasy SATIRE in which sheep take over the world.
