   UK clergyman whose novel of IMMORTALITY Salathiel: A Story of the Past, the Present and the Future (1826; vt Salathiel the Wandering Jew 1843 US; vt Salathiel the Immortal 1855 UK; vt Tarry Thou Till I Come 1901 US) was published anon but soon acknowledged.
