COREY, Paul (Frederick)

(1903-1992)

   US writer in various genres, active from as early as 1934, though his first sf story, "Operation Survival" for NW, did not appear until 1962. Most of his early novels are set on farms in the US Middle West; the title of one of them, Acres of Antaeus (1946), deceptively suggests sf content. His sf novel, The Planet of the Blind (1968), written for ROBERT HALE LIMITED, is a variation on the theme of the one-eyed man in the country of the blind inaugurated (for sf) by H.G. WELLS in "The Country of the Blind" (1904).
