GNAEDINGER, Mary
(1898-1976)
   US editor who, as an employee of the Frank A. MUNSEY chain of PULP MAGAZINES, was made editor in 1939 of the new magazine FAMOUS FANTASTIC MYSTERIES. She edited all 81 issues of the magazine, which eventually ceased publication in 1953, as well as two companion magazines: FANTASTIC NOVELS, published 1940-41 and again 1948-51, and A. MERRITT'SFANTASY MAGAZINE, published 1949-50. All three were devoted to reprinting old stories.
