van LORNE, Warner
   Pseudonym, probably of US writer Nelson Tremaine (1907-1971), author under that name of a number of stories in ASTOUNDING SCIENCE-FICTION 1935-9. "The Blue-Men of Yrano" (1939) is probably the best remembered.WvL's identity has remained undetermined, although certainly F. Orlin TREMAINE wrote at least 1 WvL story. The remainder have been ascribed to his brother, Nelson Tremaine, but it remains possible that they were all the work of the former.
