(1907-?)
   US writer known for his series about Kioga, a Tarzan-like Native American raised by bears on an island within the Arctic Circle: Hawk of the Wilderness (1935 Blue Book; 1936); Kioga of the Wilderness (1936-7 Blue Book; 1976); One Against a Wilderness (1937 Blue Book; coll of linked stories 1977) and Kioga of the Unknown Land (1938 Blue Book; 1978).
